The EDDYSTAR Carbon Fiber Airbox Intake System addresses the heat soak issues common in BMW's N20 turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This sealed carbon fiber system provides cooler intake air temperatures, improved performance, and enhanced induction sound while maintaining factory-fit precision.
N20 Engine Heat Management Challenge
The factory N20 airbox on F10/F18 models becomes heat-soaked after 15-20 minutes of normal driving due to proximity to the turbocharger. This causes intake air temperature (IAT) to climb, resulting in ECU timing pull and reduced engine performance.
Carbon Fiber Thermal Advantage
Prepreg carbon fiber has thermal conductivity approximately 1/40th that of aluminum, preventing heat transfer into the intake charge.
